Terms & Conditions
The friendly small print for using our website and ordering from us.

1. About us
The website https://southwish.com is operated by Earlybird Designs Ltd trading as Southwish (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are a company registered in England and Wales under company number 4829678. Our registered office is C/O Outrise, 76 Canterbury Innovation Centre, University Road, Canterbury, CT2 7FG, United Kingdom and our VAT number is GB 835 7934 88. You can contact us at [email protected].
These terms apply to your use of our website and to any order you place with us. Please read them carefully. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
2. Our website is a catalogue
Our website shows the postcards, gift boxes, wrapping paper and other items we offer. It is not an online shop: you cannot place an order or make a payment through the website. Product descriptions and images are an invitation for you to send us a request, not an offer to sell.
Images are for illustration. Our postcard designs are sketched by hand, finished digitally and then printed, so each card you receive is a printed reproduction of the original illustration; colours on screen may differ slightly from the printed product depending on your device. Packaging patterns may vary slightly from sheet to sheet or box to box.
3. How a contract is formed
- You send us a request through the website form or by email, telling us which items you would like.
- We check availability and reply by email with a quote: the items available, the total price, delivery options and payment details. A quote is valid for 7 days unless we say otherwise.
- If you would like to go ahead, you pay using the details we provide.
- A contract between you and us is formed when we confirm by email that we have received your payment. If, for any reason, we cannot accept your order after payment, we will tell you and refund you in full.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are confirmed in our quote and are shown in pounds sterling (GBP), including VAT where applicable. Delivery charges are shown separately in the quote. We will never ask you to send card details by email or through our website form.
We take care to quote correctly, but if we discover an obvious pricing error before your order is dispatched we will contact you, and you may choose to continue at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
5. Availability
Our collection changes over time and many items are produced in limited batches. Availability is only confirmed in our quote. Sending a request does not reserve an item.
6. Delivery, cancellation and returns
Delivery, your right to cancel and our returns process are explained in our Delivery & Returns policy, which forms part of these terms.
7. Your consumer rights
If you are a consumer, you have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 — goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If an item is faulty or damaged on arrival, please contact us and we will repair, replace or refund it in line with your legal rights. For detailed information, visit Citizens Advice.
8. Intellectual property
All designs, illustrations, photographs, text and other content on this website and on our products are owned by or licensed to Earlybird Designs Ltd and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Buying a card or product gives you the right to use and give it as intended; it does not give you the right to copy, reproduce, scan, sell or distribute the designs, in print or digitally, without our written permission.
9. Using our website
You agree not to misuse our website — for example by introducing viruses, attempting to gain unauthorised access, or sending spam through our forms. We try to keep the website available and accurate but cannot guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Links to other websites are provided for convenience only; we are not responsible for their content.
10. Our liability
If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for breach of your statutory rights. We only supply products for domestic and private use, and are not liable to business customers for loss of profit, loss of business or business interruption.
11. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as postal disruption or severe weather. If such an event affects your order, we will contact you as soon as possible, and you may cancel and receive a refund for anything you have paid for but not received.
12. Complaints
If you are unhappy with anything, please email [email protected]. We will acknowledge your complaint promptly and do our best to resolve it fairly.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one published when we sent you our quote.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales; if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
